I suspect the key to completing a year-long daily portrait project is allowing for (possibly many) days like this, wherein I document instead of concept. But, oh my, I find myself so resistant to making images like these. Though, in looking back at my previous 365 attempts, I really appreciate the honest snapshots, so I'll trust this aversion is fleeting.
James has been so sweet, supportive, and fully committed to this project. I melted at his loving gaze as we took a few quick photos before watching Valley Girl—the 1983 version, was confused to see that film remade.
